Old-fashioned telephone communication is a headache in the digitalization of business processes. Many Japanese companies have a culture where every employee has to answer the phone in the office, which hinders business efficiency. To solve this problem, Japanese company Uluru has built a new SaaS-like phone answering service called fondesk using Twilio's Voice/TaskRouter/Sync. Launched by just a few developers, the service is now growing rapidly and is transforming office productivity and customer engagement in Japan.
