James founded his first technology start up in 2003, which later was acquired by Tangent plc, providing large-scale enterprise platforms utilised by notable clients such as SAP, Borders, the UK Labour Party, and Carlsberg. Subsequently, James & the other founders thought up Kraken, a groundbreaking technology platform designed for energy transition. James has been instrumental in the creation of Octopus Energy’s proprietary technology, digital-first offerings and its global expansion.
