George Bochenek
Sr Manager, Software Engineer - Edge Platform
Twilio
George Bochenek is the Head of Engineering for the Edge Platform at Twilio. Since 2008, George has been working to build highly resilient and developer-friendly systems at scale in a rapidly evolving world.
At Twilio, he leads the teams responsible for the company’s public-facing edge infrastructure—including the API and WebSocket gateways, the webhook platform, and public-facing edge infrastructure—as well as Twilio's Server-Side SDKs (Helper Libraries) and API definitions. Whether he’s overseeing 20 billion weekly API requests or ensuring the reliability of Twilio’s helper libraries, his focus is on building resilient systems that feel seamless for the developers who rely on them every day. When he’s not untangling legacy code, George is a dad of two boys who enjoys running, playing piano and drums, and experimenting in the kitchen.
