SIGNAL Registration and Attendance

Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to your registration for and attendance of SIGNAL, Twilio's customer and developer conference, and any related Twilio events, such as Superclass (collectively, "SIGNAL"). To register for and attend SIGNAL, you must agree to these Terms and Conditions, as well as the SIGNAL Code of Conduct. If you do not agree, you may not register or attend.

Registration and Attendee Information

All SIGNAL attendees must be registered on the SIGNAL registration site. All information entered into the registration form must be correct and accurate. All information must be entered in English. Some of the information you provide (such as name, company) will be displayed on the attendee badge.

All registration and attendee information you provide for SIGNAL will be treated in accordance with our Privacy Statement, which can be found at here.

Twilio reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel tickets, registrations, or orders and to limit order quantity.

By registering and accepting any discounts, gifts, or items of value related to SIGNAL (including free or discounted attendance), you certify that you are able to do so in compliance with applicable laws and the internal rules of your organization.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be submitted via email to the SIGNAL Registration Team by the date specified on your registration form, for a refund less any applicable fees. Twilio will not provide any refunds for cancellations after the specified date or for no-shows.


SIGNAL will take place at the location specified on your registration form. Twilio reserves the right to change venues due to weather, capacity, or any other issues without notice and without liability.


Before being admitted to SIGNAL and obtaining a SIGNAL badge, all attendees will be required to present a valid government-issued identification (copies will not be accepted) that matches the name on the ticket.

Badges may contain NFC or other RFID technologies to help us serve attendees, determine participation in various sessions and activities, and connect you with sponsors or exhibitors.

You must wear your SIGNAL badge at all times to receive admittance to SIGNAL and during the sessions, reception, $BASH, and another SIGNAL events. If requested by security, attendees may be required to provide additional identification.

SIGNAL badges (or any part thereof) are not replaceable or transferable. Unless otherwise agreed to by Twilio, the full conference fee will be charged to replace a lost badge. You agree not to share, transfer, give, or otherwise provide your badge to anyone


Twilio is not responsible for any badges or property that are lost, stolen, damaged, or destroyed at SIGNAL. Your badge may be invalidated by Twilio if any portion has been removed, altered or defaced, or Twilio suspects that you have altered your badge in any way.


Attendance at sessions for SIGNAL is on a first-come, first-served basis, and space is limited to attendees only. All presentations at SIGNAL will be in English.

Twilio may add, substitute, or cancel sessions and/or vary advertised programs or event times without prior notice. Twilio does not guarantee that you will be informed of such changes before the date of SIGNAL. Twilio will not be liable for loss of enjoyment or wasted expenditures. You voluntarily assume all risk and danger incidental to attending SIGNAL, whether occurring prior to, during, or subsequent to SIGNAL, and Twilio will not be liable for any resulting harm, including death, personal injury, loss, damage or any other liability. Twilio will have no liability to attendees and hereby disclaims any and all warranties of any kind, express or implied for SIGNAL. Admission to SIGNAL may also be subject to additional conditions of admission to the venues used for conference events.

Future Product Disclaimer

Presentations and associated materials offered during the conference may include statements about Twilio's product development plans. Many factors can materially affect Twilio's product development plans and the nature and timing of future product releases. Accordingly, this information is provided to you solely for information only, and is not a commitment to deliver any material, code, or functionality and should not be relied upon in making purchasing decisions. The development, release, and timing of any features described remains at the sole discretion of Twilio.

Sponsors and Exhibitors

SIGNAL may have third-party sponsors and exhibitors, and you may choose to allow these sponsors or exhibitors to scan your badge so they can contact you with more information. All scanning is optional. By allowing a sponsor or exhibitor to scan your badge, you authorize Twilio to share with such sponsor or exhibitor the following registration information if included in registration: First name, last name, company, email, mobile and location (state, city, zip code, country). You can opt out of this sharing any time by opting out when picking up your badge at registration on site.

Code of Conduct

You agree to abide by our SIGNAL Code of Conduct.

Film and Video Consent

Photographs, audio and/or video taken at SIGNAL by Twilio, or by others on behalf of Twilio, may include your voice, image or likeness. You agree that Twilio may use, reproduce, distribute, alter, prepare derivative works of, display, perform, or otherwise exploit such photographs, audio and/or video, including those that may contain your voice, image or likeness, for any purpose on a worldwide basis in perpetuity, without any compensation to you, and you release Twilio from all liability related thereto.

No Photography or Soliciting

You are not permitted to make audio or audiovisual recordings of SIGNAL or take professional photographic or video equipment, or wearable recording devices into the event. In addition, you may not use selfie sticks or similar monopods at the event. Solicitation or selling of items or services is not allowed at SIGNAL unless expressly authorized by Twilio. Any attendee conducting these activities may be removed from the event.

Age Limit

To attend SIGNAL, you must be 16 years of age or older. All attendees between 13/16 and 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

Onsite Security

As a security measure, Twilio may be randomly checking bags onsite for SIGNAL. No bags or property should be left unattended at any time. Unattended property may be removed.

Twilio reserves the right to take any security measures it deems appropriate to increase the safety of attendees, sponsors, and exhibitors, without prior notice. Twilio reserves the right to change the policies set forth herein, without prior notice, and has sole discretion to deny entry to anyone.

Deletion of Registration and Attendee Information

You can request the deletion of your registration data after the event ends by emailing


Governing Law and Jurisdiction. These Terms and Conditions, and any disputes arising out of or related hereto, shall be governed exclusively by the internal laws of the State of California and controlling United States federal law, without regard to their conflicts of laws rules or the United Nations Convention on the International Sale of Goods.

Venue, Waiver of Jury Trial. The state and federal courts located in San Francisco County, California shall have exclusive jurisdiction to adjudicate any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms and Conditions. Each party hereby consents to the exclusive jurisdiction of such courts. Each party hereby waives any right to jury trial in connection with any action or litigation in any way arising out of or related to these Terms and Conditions. Each party agrees to the applicable governing law above without regard to choice or conflicts of law rules, and to the exclusive jurisdiction of the applicable courts above.

Relationship of the Parties. These Terms and Conditions, and the activities governed hereby, do not create a partnership, franchise, joint venture, agency, fiduciary or employment relationship between the parties. There are no third-party beneficiaries to these Terms and Conditions.

Waiver. No failure or delay by either party in exercising any right under these Terms and Conditions shall constitute a waiver of that right.

Severability and Assignment. If any provision in these Terms and Conditions is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be contrary to law, the provision shall be modified by the court and interpreted so as best to accomplish the objectives of the original provision to the fullest extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions shall remain in effect. You may not assign any of your rights or obligations hereunder, whether by operation of law or otherwise, without the prior written consent of Twilio. Twilio may assign these Terms and Conditions, in whole or in part, as necessary for the execution of SIGNAL without your consent and at its sole discretion. Subject to the foregoing, these Terms and Conditions shall bind and inure to the benefit of the parties, their respective successors and permitted assigns.

Entire Agreement. These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the parties in relation to SIGNAL and supersede all prior and contemporaneous terms, agreements, proposals or representations, written or oral, concerning its subject matter.
