715-999-7483 is a phone-powered, multiplayer website builder: you call, describe what you want in 30 seconds, and AI does the rest—transcribing voice, generating code, and deploying a live homepage in real time. 30,000 edits later, this project has hit the front page of Hacker News, been featured by Tom Scott, and proven that people will wait on hold at 3 AM just to put Peter Griffin on a stranger's website. I’ll share how I "vibe coded" the entire stack, watched it explode while on vacation in Japan, and learned some expensive lessons about Twilio billing along the way. Ultimately, this is a story about why the weird space between 150-year-old technology and modern AI is where the most interesting things happen.
